Our Story

Delphine Uwamahoro founded Our Sisters’ Opportunity in 2019, combining her love of fashion and community development. Inspired by her own fortuitous journey of opportunity through education, Delphine desired to create sustainable opportunities for other young women in rural Rwanda to find means to economic empowerment and independence. The paths out of poverty can be complex, and the OSO model seeks to holistically address the social barriers that impede young women’s economic and social progress. Prior to founding OSO, Delphine worked for over 10 years leading international health and development organizations in Rwanda while nurturing her design passions. In 2019, Delphine won the Made in Rwanda Best Designer of the Year award.
